In addition to the other high quality attributes of a Truck Art Trailers, all removable and fixed Stock Crates and Truck Trays are spring loaded to the chassis to prevent “under tray” cross members from cracking; significantly increasing the life of the crate and tray. 3 Deck B-Double Pig Trailers

Like all Truck Art Trailers, Gunnel/Combing Rails for pig trailers are custom made to suit the other trailers in the customer’s fleet. Animal welfare is also maintained through provision of an electric roll back tarp and on-board watering/cooling system. With the options of stainless steel or galvanised construction and full aluminium ramps with longitudinal profile for easy wash out, the 3 deck pig trailers really hit the mark within the industry. The easy wash out design assists in minimising potential for cross contamination between job sites and offers excellent bio-security for producers, drivers and contractors. Stainless Steel floors and components available on request.

4×2 Convertible Livestock Trailers

Truck Art Trailers 4×2 Convertible Livestock Trailers are custom built to meet the specific requirements of the customer and the diverse needs of the livestock handling industry.   TAT also provides a basic trailer option built to the same exacting standards as a full custom trailer. Truck Art Trailers offers a variety of combing rail/gunnel rails to ensure new trailers purchased compliment trailers already in your fleet. Each trailer is manufactured using Australian steel (not Chinese material) and is designed to minimise corrosion through the use of square diagonals at all levels. Floor profile is designed for ease of wash-out significantly decreasing time taken for wash-out and greatly assisting in control of inter-site disease transfer. With a variety of options; including block gates on all 4 levels, spring assisted decks etc., a TAT offers excellent return on investment with very high resale value during fleet upgrade. Stainless Steel floors and components available on request.

45 ft and 48 ft 2×1 Livestock Trailer & Single Deck Cattle trailers

These extra-long trailers are manufactured with the same options as other Truck Art Trailers and are also available with stainless steel effluent drains and effluent tanks. Air Operated Stainless-Steel Effluent Tank.

Current State, Federal and EPA authorities are being pressured to bring the Livestock Industry effluent management into line with other effluent disposal practices; i.e. contain and dispose into pits only. Truck Art Trailers is aware of the pressure coming to bear on the Livestock Industry as a whole and has taken the initiative to develop a new effluent control and release mechanism for its livestock trailers.

Remote Control Cattle 3/4 Cattle Gate 

Truck Art Smash Repairs and Truck Art Livestock Trailers are well aware of the need to manage fatigue and where possible, minimise the potential for injury to owners/owner operators during stock management processes.

Recently, there has been a number of very serious accidents causing significant injury to operators as they move stock in and around livestock trailers and crates etc. In addition, the financial and personal cost is enormous often leaving the owner driver and their family in serious personal and financial difficulty.

Truck Art has reacted to the needs of the industry and following extensive research and development, Truck Art has developed an automated and remote controlled ¾ cattle gate.

This gate can be operated from outside the trailer and potentially from inside or around the cattle yard as cattle are loaded onto the trailer. There is no need to be in the trailer or close to stock as the trailer is loaded or unloaded.

The gate is currently situated at frame 3 on the bottom deck of the rear trailer. With an ability to lock, unlock and open and close remotely as well as prod cattle to move forward during loading, the gate essentially removes all danger to the operator.

As a fail-safe, the gate can also be operated manually as per current standard practice and offers a safe zone for the operator when folded completely back to the trailer side.

Spring assisted Cattle and Sheep Swing Decks

Through many conversations with livestock carriers,Truck Art Trailers has been made acutely aware of the difficulty faced by the livestock bulk handling industry when attempting to recruit and retain experienced livestock handlers/drivers. This difficulty extends across the country with a number of job features being blamed including; dangers associated with managing stock, long work hours and associated fatigue, manipulation of heavily designed trailer components and the lifestyle etc.Fatigue management is clearly a vital element of the stock handling process and Truck Art Trailers has partially addressed this through its automated gate. To further address this important issue, Truck Art has developed a swing deck concept that uses “spring assist” to significantly reduce the “felt weight” of the deck or multiple decks by 50% during their operation. Both cattle and sheep decks can be made with “spring assist”
